How did bobby propose?

“we were in new york for bobby’s football game against new york police department. I had been dying to go back to new york since the last time we had visited there in june of 2011. During our first visit bobby had taken me to tiffany’s to buy a piece of jewelry. It turned out that bobby had a chosen to buy me a ring. Little did i know, that would have been the first of two rings that i would receive in new york that would mean the world to me. During our 2011 trip we had a memorable moment in central park where we were tricked into taking a bicycle carriage tour for 250 dollars. During the tour, our guide took us to a specific area of the park that had one of the most famous terraces and fountains around. The bethesda terrace and fountain. During our time there we had taken a picture and watched street performers do flips and dances. We were having so much fun in central park, that we almost missed our flight home. Fast forward to may 8, 2014. We arrived in new york after a long, rainy, red eye flight with bobby’s team, monique, bryan, and our friend stephanie. I had worked the day that we left, and hadn’t slept in 26 hrs when we arrived at our hotel room. I got to take a one hour nap before monique and stephanie came barging in, dressed way too cute, to wake me up to go site seeing. I was so tired that both of them were blow drying my hair and picking out my outfit, while i tried to put some makeup on half asleep. We took a quick subway ride to our first site seeing adventure in central park. Bobby had a plan that he had formed with bryan, monique and stephanie. His plan was for all of us to go to central park and take a picture at the bethesda fountain. He told them to stand on the bethesda terrace and to take pictures of us sitting at the fountain as we did in 2011. We arrived at the terrace and walked down to fountain to take a picture. We sat there and posed for the picture for an awkward amount of time, then all of a sudden he dropped to a knee and i immediately started crying. He said some amazing things, (half of which i couldn’t hear over my sobbing), and asked me to marry him. I of course said yes! Good thing the girls made me get ready!”

What is the overall design of your wedding?

“we are getting married at pala mesa resort, and they have an amazing romantic and elegant design on their own. I love fresh flowers and candles, so there will be plenty of them throughout our ceremony. My colors are dusty blues, with a hint of blush tones, which will add a little bit of glamour.”

What are you and bobby most excited for?

“the whole big day! I’m excited to see bobby’s face when i come down the aisle, and walk back as husband and wife. We’re excited to celebrate with all of our friends and family. I’m excited to be the one getting all dolled up with my bridesmaids! It’s going to be so different being on the other side of that part.”

Why did you hire a wedding planner?

“my very first decision in this whole wedding planning saga, was to hire pure lavish events. Most girls have their wedding planned out since they were 12 down to every last detail. I knew i had great ideas, but definitely knew i needed a wonderful, (and patient), team to help me execute my dream wedding. I know i will have no stress about everything being organized and on time the day of my wedding, because i have seen them in action, and they are the best!”

Any other fun stories?

1. I am the champion first place winner in our 12 man fantasy football league, and i remind him everyday! (he has yet to win a season in any of his leagues… i’ve won 3!).
2. Our favorite numbers are 24. It was bobby’s jersey number when we were in high school. I am born on the 24th of september, and our daughter is born on the 24th of may. We started dating when i was 24. I could go on and on!
3. My grandparents had the same initials and they were married for over 50 years, bobby and i will have the same initials when we get married!
